Certifications
GIA certification is a grading report issued by the Gemological Institute of America that provides an objective evaluation of a diamond or gemstone’s quality and characteristics. It’s important because it provides consumers with an independent, unbiased assessment of the quality of the diamond or gemstone they’re purchasing.
The GIA certification process involves a team of trained gemologists evaluating a diamond or gemstone based on a set of standard criteria, including the 4Cs (color, clarity, cut, and carat weight). The stone is analyzed using specialized equipment and techniques to determine its exact characteristics and quality, which are then recorded in a detailed report.
Yes, a GIA certificate is a reliable indication that the diamond or gemstone is genuine, as it verifies the stone’s identity, quality, and characteristics.
You can verify the authenticity of a GIA certificate by checking the report number on the GIA website or by using the QR code on the certificate to access the online report. This allows you to confirm that the information on the certificate matches the information in the GIA database.
Yes, we only source diamonds and gemstones from reputable suppliers who adhere to strict ethical standards, including the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS) which aims to prevent the trade of conflict diamonds.
Choosing a certified diamond or gemstone provides you with an objective evaluation of the stone’s quality and characteristics, ensuring that you get what you pay for. It also gives you peace of mind knowing that you’re purchasing a genuine, ethically sourced stone.
The QR code on GIA certificates is a scannable code that provides access to the diamond or gemstone’s grading report. By using a smartphone or tablet to scan the code, you can view the detailed information about the stone’s cut, color, clarity, and carat weight. This added layer of verification helps to ensure the authenticity of the certificate and the stone.
